Oct 5th - 8th: Lacoste Open

Golf de Chantaco - St. Jean de Luz - France

October 8th. Final Round: -3, +2 overall,  T 32nd.

Finished the last 9 holes of the third round this morning. Not good: 76.

The first 9 of the final round were looking to go the same way, but then 5 birdies in six holes turned it around!

69 - 69 - 76 - 68. Can you tell what round I am not happy with? :)

Now it´s back home to Andorra for two days and then off to Florida for Q-School II.

October 7th.  Finished round 2,  -2 overall.

It looks like I made the cut.

I was -4, but hit one out of bounds on the 18th for a double. Shame to finish the round like that, but  6 birdies considering yesterday's playing conditions is not bad. The girls that did not play at all yesterday got lucky!

The third round will get under way around 4:30 and will finish tomorrow I guess, so its going to be a long finishing day!

October 6th.  Play suspended. -2 on hole 13, -3 in total, T11th.

The weather is awful, with a small gale blowing and heavy rain. The greens are getting flooded, so play has been suspended.

Its been a battle so far. 4 birdies and 2 bogeys.

I hope we can finish the round today still.

October 5th.  -1, T29th.

I hit 12 out 13 fairways, missed 3 greens, missed some short putts. 4 birdies, 3 bogeys.

It was a special day with all players dressed in white to celebrate the life of Cassandra Kirkland and everyone donates 5€ for every birdie we do, so scoring one under on a hole took on a completely different meaning as the proceedings go to a cancer research charity.

Tee off at 8:15 tomorrow.

October 4th.  Getting ready to rumble!!

Was on the range today again, we could not get out to play the course, so it´s going to be fun to be competing and playing it for the first time tomorrow!

Will was out walking it and taking notes, so I´ll have to rely on what info the gives me.

I'm playing with Camille Chevalier of France and Van Kapoor rom India the first two days. Tee off is at 11:18

The history behind this tournament is awe inspiring. Read up on Catherine Lacoste´s life story here:

October 2nd.  Arrived in St Jean de Luz, France

Things are not looking good here.

It rained yesterday as we drove in. Apparently it has been raining heavily the last weeks and the ground is so soggy that we are not going to be allowed to play any practice rounds. To top it all some disease has struck some greens, so the state of the course is going to leave a lot to be desired.

I had Will, my caddy, fly in earlier and now we are going to have to go into Round 1 on Thursday not having been able to play the course at all!

A bit frustrating really.

On the up side, I seem to have got over my flu and I am feeling a lot better. :)
