ABU DHABI  2nd - 5th November

Nov. 5th

Last Day: Even today, finished -6, T31st.

An eventful day, off to a bad start being three over after 4 holes.

I am happy because I kept it together and came back to even par after 12.

I had a bad drive on the 14th that landed in a bush and left me with a lie that was almost unplayable.

I did manage to get it out and hit my 3rd shot 5 meters from the hole, but missed the putt by very little.

Fortunately I hit a great second shot on 18th to within 4 feet and made the birdie to finish even par

Taj Mahal next week and another chance to improve my ranking: India here I come!!

Third Day: +1 today, -6 total

Not a good day, two mistakes and two short putts missed.

The wind really picked up, but I could not capitalize on it because those putts did not drop.

I need to get that putter to work and a good round tomorrow!

Tee off tomorrow at 09:42, 06:23 in Europe.

Nov. 3rd

Second Day: -6 today, -7 total and T10!

And it is my tenth cut in a row!

I started the day at -1 and by the time I teed off I was just within the cut, so I knew I need to make some birdies.

I played very solid today and was aggressive with my putts.

Great front nine at -5 and consistent back nine with a bit less luck with medium length putts.

I was lucky to par the last as I overshot the pin by over 1o mts and I was left with a fast downhill putt towards the water. Made it with two putts, but not as stress free as I seemed!

I´m looking forward to the next two days.

Second Day: Tee off at 12:25

Really hot day today in Abu Dhabi, but I´m chomping at the bit, raring to go. Alberto is asking me whether I want him to keep the spare balls on ice, my new bag is big enough to carry a small fridge! I guess he expected to carry the same small bag I had in Morocco :)

I need to make this cut and have the chance to do another good result!

Playing with Marion Ricordeu of France and Pamela Pretswell of Scotland again today.

Nov. 2nd

First Day: -1

Not too bad, my ball striking was good, but I made a couple of unnecessary mistakes.

The greens are practically all elevated and not placing the ball where you should means you can easily roll off.

The fairways are wide, but you still have to place your shots well due to all the bunkers.

Only had one 3 putt, which is not bad given that I had only played one practice round to get to know these greens.

Practice day at Abu Dhabi

Have to spend the day trying to get the pace of these greens, they are very large with different platforms and slopes. I guess I´ll just have to be close to the pin every time.. :)

Oct 31st: Arrived in Abu Dhabi in the middle of the night!

Today is our only practice round as there is a Pro Am tomorrow. Just one day to get to know the course is too little, but it can't be changed.

The course is long and wide and has very undulated greens and is surrounded by sand dunes and the sea!

What a change after Sanya and the green surroundings!
